This is a personal fundraiser site run by Matt Cass for the London Marathon, in aid of Brain Tumour Research. It collects a small amount of data, described below.
What we collect
- RSVP form (Quiz Night): your name, email address, attendance answer, team size and any comments you enter. Used only to plan the quiz night and reply to you if needed. Stored securely and not shared with or sold to anyone else.
- Rate-limiting: when you submit the RSVP form, your IP address is hashed (one-way, not reversible) and kept for 60 seconds to stop spam submissions — it isn't stored alongside your RSVP.
- Analytics cookies: if you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets cookies to help us see which parts of the site people visit. If you reject or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected.
Cookies in use
cookie-consent— remembers your Accept/Reject choice (first-party, no expiry until you clear your browser storage)._ga,_ga_*— Google Analytics, set only after you accept.
Third parties
This site links out to JustGiving (donations) and reads aggregate stats from JustGiving and Strava to show the progress strip on the homepage — no visitor data is sent to either service through that display. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics processes anonymised visit statistics.
Your data
To ask what data we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email [email protected].
This is a plain-language policy for a small personal fundraiser site, not a substitute for formal legal advice.
